Tony Swainston

Tony is an experienced educational and business trainer and consultant, who spent 20 years as a teacher and leader in secondary schools before working for the Department for Education in the UK as an adviser focusing on CPD (continuing professional development) for teachers, leaders, and support staff in schools.

 Following this, he set up his own consultancy and limited company, Tony Swainston Ltd, and has worked in over 20 countries around the world delivering training and consultancy in both education and business.

 He is the author of seven publications, including his most recent, “A mindset for success”, published in 2017 by Crown House Publications. This builds on the work of Prof Carol Dweck and supports the development of effective growth mindset cultures.

 Described by Osiris, a large and leading training organisation in the UK, as “one of the nation’s eminent voices on leadership”, Tony has worked all around the UK. His passion is to develop the potential in each individual which then creates success within whole organisations. An expert in mindsets, metacognition, coaching, leadership, and management, Tony has developed into a sought-after consultant and trainer.
