Characteristics of Effective Data-Informed Leadership

There is much discussion about the attributes that contribute to effective school leaders, but the existing research and literature often doesn’t consider leadership through the lens of the data-informed landscape. Middle and senior leaders in this context have the added complication of teacher perceptions on data, the data literacy of teachers, middle and senior leaders, and the different ways that are available to measure and track change. This session is useful for middle or senior leaders, or those aspiring to these roles in the future. It will consider the ways in which leaders mediate the changing data- informed landscape and lead staff through data-informed change.
